| Cartovore 2 Card editor
Hello, I'm wondering how to get the cards I create into my deck... do I have to buy them from the shop?
Also, When I try to open up the cards I created in the editor, 99 times out of 100 a lot of the parameters I put in don't load!
I'll chalk up all these problems too my computer illiteracy, but I'd still like some help, please.

That particular piece of functionality isn't in the game yet, so you have to do it by manually editing your player file. Don't worry, it's not too hard. Open your card file in a text editor and copy all of the text for the cards, starting with the first card--don't copy the template data or any of that stuff. Then open your player file (it will be the name of your player profile followed by the ".plr" extension) and paste the card data at the bottom.

You mean the traits and such? Could you post or e-mail me a copy of the card file you made so I can see what's happening?

Might as well post it and help break in the forums...
Sometimes the card traits, actions and effects, trait captions, and card descriptions won't load (It's more of a mix of them load) when I select File--> Load cards (I might as well tell you every little bit if info). However, just this instant, I found out that if I select "Add cards from file" it seems to load properly, or maybe I just hit that 1/100 chance!
Nevertheless! I hope I can help out.

Someone else reported that it's only happening to the first two cards in the set (or the second two, or something like that).
Unfortunately, in the week since I uploaded 2.012, I've managed to break just about everything in the game in my attempts to get it to run faster, so it might take me a little bit before I can upload a fix for this. (Who would have thought that completely remaking the data structure for both the trait and action systems simultaneously could make the game misbehave? Ah well.)

I've been playing around more and using "Add cards from file" to load up my Frimbos and Fae and just deleting the blank card that appears when you open the editor... there's absolutely no tedium involved.
Even though I'm in no rush for such a patch, I'd like to suggest the following: How 'bout you make the "Load cards" function do the exact same thing as the "Add cards from file" function (copy and paste the code.. I guess) except have it auto-delete the blank card slot. Sorry for the Layman's terms, but when it comes to this field I'm pretty damn Layman.
Also, more powerful enemies with bigger token rewards would be nice! I'm currently steamrolling without the perverted aid of my own cards. An official Duam Fey deck would be spectacular as well.
This is getting off topic... I'll save my wants for another thread.

The blank card thing was actually a bug. The next version won't have any problem with loading decks.
Well, okay. If it has a problem, it won't be THAT problem.
(My speed tweaks have caused a lot of subtle little things to crop up...like having the value of every trait deleted when you save the file, for example. That's what I fixed this morning.)
