CHAPTER 2: Alternate Communication
###################

It was night in the lands... so much night, Silvia barely could see her own hand. Oh, what a great idea it was to leave Wormgut... Silvia sweared silently, mainly not to disturb the almigthy silence around. Since Silvia had left the city, she had felt to be watched by someone... or something. Silvia tried not to imagine what night-active beings might already sneak up on her, for an easy meal. She knew, she saw so badly in the darkness, she could even walk into some monsters grasp before noticing it. And from there it was only a very small step to its stomach. A place, where Silvia did not really want to be in any case. Like all girls, she had a phobia of stomachs... But that was no wonder, she just did not want to sacrifice her body to some greedy enzymes and feed such a devilish creature, so it survived for preying on other girls... Oh well...

Leaving the town at night seemed a pretty nice idea, since most of the dangerous predators slept at night. After Silvia was attacked by a giant bat and two owl-harpies, she was not so sure anymore. She had scratches from the harpies' claws all over her body and her suit was torn at those places. But the most problematical thing was... she had no sword anymore... the bat had gulped it and died from the sharp edges. But how to get it out of the creature at the dark... and the smell of the corpse would surely lure other creatures to it... who surely prefered an alive, warm meal like a juicy girl... so Silvia had escaped pretty quickly.

She wondered... who or what was watching her? Why wasnt it stiking? She was almost helpless, an easy prey even to a young an unskilled monster. Her skin was bare and even cut at many places, now really easy to digest... So why was the watcher so wary, so skittish? Or wasnt it? Maybe it knew what it did? If there was a watcher at all...

Then suddenly all went very quick. Silvia did not know what happened to her, as she was suddenly bounced and smashed to the ground by something. On the second thought, she had felt something like hooves... a centaur maybe? She knew of night centaurs, black furred, evil creatures who stalked around the night to trample everything down, until it didnt resist them anymore and could be easily consumed. As she tried to get up again, she felt a sharp pain somewhere in her belly region, and collapsed to he floor again. The centaur now made noises pretty clear, after he had kicked Silvia down again. The heroine was already pretty in pain. She knew, everytime she would get up now, she would get tramped down again, and if she lay still, the centaur would send her in a one way trip to a place filled with acids...

Silvia folded her hands and started to pray in desperate. Until now, she had always been lucky, and rated it an intervention of some god, but this time everything seemed lost for her. Her body hurted so much, she wouldnt even be able to resist the centaur's stomach while it would digest her... Suddenly, there was a quick movement... another quick movement, then the centaur did some scream of pain or else... at least it screamed and got off Silvia. Something had attacked the centaur... wings could be heard, and felt, they caused enough wind for Silvia to feel them pretty well. Claws clashed on hooves and into flesh... Silvia heard it all. Then, slowly, her vision blurred out, her mind faded... Silvia fought against it. She would land in the winning creatures eager stomach none the less, she had to stay awake... she had to ... stay... awake... she... then she fainted and collapsed onto the grass.

As the heroine finally opened her eyes again, she was pretty dizzy. Where was she? Pain... she felt pain... it was a severe, aching pain, like fire, which mainly came from her cut skin parts. She tried to move, something was strange... it was so soft here, so wet... then reality struck her almost like thunder. She was in hell. Well, not the real hell, but the hell most girls feared. She had been swallowed by the winning creature, and was now being digested. She sweared silently, why did she have to wake up, why couldnt she have died in piece? Soon, a sound escaped her lips, it was more a painful sigh, as she felt these soft walls grinding on her body. Her clothes were already far gone, and she had leisures all over her soft skin. The creatures hungry belly had an easy game, the enzymes just leaked through the cuts below the skin and caused painful leisures all over her body. Blood flowed out and dissolved in the acids.

Silvia cried out for help, her words were maybe just only bemusing the creature. She punched against the walls, just to make them emit more acids over her body, to knead her like dough. She was now just food, but she did not accept it. Why did it happen to her? She was a hero, not supposed to die this way. Something was strange... why was there light? Finally she noticed it was the enzymes slowly pulsating with this luminescating light. The pain escalated as most of her skin had dissolved, and the enzymes were now feasting on her deep flesh. The glow intensified greatly, apparently it showed the "processing speed"... Indeed her soft flesh could be digested much more swiftly and easily than her skin... she sighed. She wanted to scream out again, she couldnt anymore. In the back of her mind, the thoughts of defeat emerged... she had not been able to protect her people from the evil, and just turned into a nice snack for some hungry creature. Soon the pain was more than to bare, and Silvia felt her mind to be overloaded with pain. Slowly, slowly, she closed her eyes, knowing she would never awake again, her body ending up as a source of precious nutrients...

Then she opened her eyes again... wait, she opened her eyes? Silvia was in complete confusion. She had died and was digested, why did she live? Soon the blurring vision settled into normal, and she saw contures of a cave. Some facles burned there, giving light to the place, and warmth. It was warm... so this place was real... she felt the stone benealth her. So where was she? Had she dreamed? Yea, she must have dreamed, she said to herself. And her tribe had found her and brought her to a safe place, where she could recover. She looked at her body. The cuts were gone, but she was nude. She wondered, but didnt make a real sense out of it. At least she was safe. She looked around...

... and nearly got a heart exhaust as she spotted a succubus just meters away of her. It was lying on a rock and watching her, just watching. "Calm down... calm down..." Silvia said to herself. The succubus did not move... at least it did not move agressivly. Its deviltail flickered and twitched while it watched the heroine warily. Its blond hair floated a bit in the soft wind, that blew through the cave entrance. Unfortunately she would have to pass by to reach the entrance. Their gazes met. Curiosity showed in the blue eyes of the winged being, but not hatred. A bit of hunger flashed, but only a bit. After all, the succubus made a friendly appeareance. Silvia wondered... she was nude and unarmed, the perfect meal for a succubus, but still this batgirl did not touch her, it just watched.

Then Silvia found a logical thought. The succubus was trying to keep her in this cave. Maybe it was waiting for its children, or it was just not hungry and wanted to save her for later? Her hand moved behind her body and she grabbed a stone. She knew. the batgirls echolot would track her, but she had no chance. She threw the stone in the direktion of the blond succubus head. It didnt move... the stone was suddenly hitting an invisible wall, energy cracled over the stone, and it shattered and fell down. The succubus protected herself with an magic field? Silva stood up and threw other stones at the being. None passed the field. Silvia sweared...

"Would you maybe stop that?" the succubus suddenly said and giggled. Her voice was strange and alluring, as the rest of her appeareance. Silvia felt the urge again, she felt at many succubi before. The urge of just opening this beautiful batgirl's soft ruby lips and shove herself down its throat. Succubi did alot with alluring, but this urge was different. Far more strong... far more... but Silvia managed to resist it for now. The dream she had kept her from succumbing to that urge. But why was that succubus talking to her? If she was a meal, just something to eat and digest? "Who... Who are you?" Silvia managed to say. "Amanda..." was the answer. Not more nor less. Silvia wondered, those creatures had names? Maybe her thoughts were wrong on at least some monsters. "Why have you brought me here?" Silvia asked. She knew the answer... she already expected the succubus' answer to be like "To feed..."

But it wasnt. The succubus smiled, and somehow Silvia liked that smile. Surely because she liked those sweet ruby lips, but also because it was not icy, but had a warm and caring character. "You needed rest..." the batgirl said, and her wings twitched once. Silvia was somehow shocked by what she heard, it shattered her way of belief. It sounded almost like the succubus had brought her here to guard her... then it made click somewhere in her mind, and she understood. "You were the shadow i saw... you were the one who protected me all the time... you attacked the centaur..." The succubus just nodded slowly. "Why?" Silvia asked, and her eyes were still widened. "You want to destroy Anducar to restore the peace..." Amanda finally said after some break. "I want to destroy Anducar to save my people..." she added. Silvia nodded. "To save your people? You talk about them as tribe?" she asked, still wondered. Amanda nodded. "Once many monster were independant tribes, some peaceful, others aggressive, like your girl clans... I was ruling a clan of succubi, the goldlips... well, Anducar managed to destroy the social bonds, and our homes, making many monsters, as you call them, homeless, fighting for survival like you do... I want to reclaim my people from Anducar#s grasp..." she finally ended.

Silvia nodded. "That sounds fine to me... i am glad for any help i can get... but could i maybe get some clothes first? You maybe like being nude, and i indeed like your body, but i am used to wear clothes..." she explained. Amanda nodded and pointed to a red robe Silvia could dress with. As she picked the robe up, she found a little, halfly digested piece of green cloth... and she understood, the shine of truth was with her now... but she was not angry...

-------------------------

Meanwhile, in a place far away, but still near, Anducar's fist smashed on the stone table, and the phone, laptop and cups moved a bit, from the strong impact. "These little bitch, this winged slut... how has she escaped my grasp on the demons... My dark centaur had nearly killed the selfcalled hero... oh... oh... I gonna smash them both..." A second voice emerged in the room. Duamutef was still not able to move much, tied to his chair. "She was never in your grasp, you pityful mage... You underestimated both of them. Many of these beings have evolved far more than i ever expected them to..." he said angry. "You better untie me and surrender, because somewhen you will fall." Anducar sat down at Duamutef's table again. "I do not think so... my next plan will surely finish them of. The girl and the succubus... once and forever..." Duamutef smiled, he sent his hopes along the two. He almost knew, they would come, but many adventures would still lie between the fighters for freedom, and Duamutef's realms. "We will see, Anducar, we will see..."
