Girl society is actually very low maintenance from their perspective--there are actually pseudo-plant life forms which, when fully grown, look an awful lot like houses. Obviously, these are what most girls live in, despite the rumors of a couch or toilet seat occaisionally devouring a houseguest. (Hey, a lifeform that looks like a house is still a lifeform, and needs to eat...) In addition to these naturally-occurring buildings, there are also fairly simple spells which enchantresses and architects can cast which can directly conjure fully-formed buildings. Thus, despite the fact that villages are overrun by monsters on a daily basis, new ones can be constructed with great speed. (These spells are relatively easy because there are complex "Macros" built into the chakras of enchantresses which allow them to perform these specific spells, as well as other creation spells such as those that allow them to create clothing or armor)

Technology

Technology varies greatly from planet to planet, but generally it is more similar to artifice than true technology. Most technologies are instinctually inspired so girls are born knowing how to create certain devices. Technology is no more powerful than magic; In fact, at the most basic level the two are indistinguishable as magic is actually a scientific principle. That is not to say that magical artifacts and technological devices are identical. Technological devices tend to operate on physics and particles that are of a lower energy state and thus closer to physical energy than most magics. This makes them more efficient at producing physical effects, albeit with lower flexibility (few technological devices can match the sophistication and flexibility of a chakra).

Space Travel

Many cultures are capable of space travel whilst others are limited to swords. "Space" is quite different in Duamutef's world, however. It is not the hostile, airless vacuum of our world, but is no less dangerous. Creatures can survive in the void, meaning there are large numbers of monsters in space. Very, very large ones. These provide the primary hazard in space travel and are the reason that all starships are armed.

Space is littered with starships and starbases, the latter serving the function of villages. As exposure to space cannot kill a girl, and even a starship weapon's blast is no match for their soul's regenerative capability, many space battles begin with the ships blasting one another but end with a boarding action involving a lot of eating. However, this is not always necessary; a crippled ship is a snack for a space monster, literally, and the smaller monsters are more thah happy to snatch up any girls who may be floating helplessly in space.

Cybernetics

A common form of armor among the more high-tech societies, 'Cybernetics' are not actually cybernetics in any traditional sense. They are actually a particular type of enchanted armor, which is form fitting and induces the person's body to produce unnatural strength and speed, generally by focusing or amplifying it's energies. To the wearer they feel like skin-tight metal, and are quite hard and resilient to damage though they feel like a second skin. Since they are perfectly form-fitting, they do not interfere with any other armor, but for the same reason they must generally be made for a particular wearer.

Food

Many buildings grow food naturally, as do some other forms of plant life. Food is often used in lieu of hunting and eating monsters or other girls, as both of the latter tend to be dangerous at best. Though not quite as stimulating or as energizing as live prey, other foods can still be quite pleasurable to eat, and will stave off hunger for at least a while. Many girls subsist entirely on food, some of them not even realizing they're capable of swallowing other creatures. (These also tend to express surprise, shock and denial when they learn that other girls are capable of swallowing them...)

Most girls are reasonable when it comes to food, but most enjoy the occaisional "stuffing binge." Girl's stomachs can stretch to accomodate normal food just as easily as for living prey, so some girls will stuff themselves to bursting, filling their bellies to the size of beachballs or larger. (In fact, this is sometimes what gives girls on the more "innocent" planets the idea of trying to swallow another person)
