Slime Time.
The Bayside Battle Maidens gamming group is playing in Module #23 “The
Forbidden Mesa of Venti Lukie, the mountain of sculls” The deadliest module
ever put out for Monsters and Mistresses. Sara is the DM, Jill plays a Valkurie
warrio Irea, Karin places a swashbuckler named Tosha, Lorrie plays a wizard
called Lasa and Debbi, the new girl, plays Asta the elf bowwoman.
Sara: The door locks behind you and a panel on the far wall slides open. There is passage but it is filled with a giant slug. It’s slimy white body fills eight hexes musk flesh. It stinger swings in your direction.
Lorrie: That’s a very huge monsters girls. That means it ignore the first *five* points of damage from a normal weapon attack.
Karine: Crap! I ran into one of these things when I was playing with the _War Angels_ group. It got Susan Deyers’ thief Hantria. All we found were the woman’s clothes!The sluge sucked her out of them!
Jill: We’ve got to move fast! Tosha help me open the door. Lasa and Asta attack the slug.
Lorri: Okay, for all the good it does. I cast _Invisible Stangler_, maybe it has got a throat.
Debbi: What? Why don't we fight it? I shoot an arrow at it.
Karn: No way! That worm is packed with defenses. Haven’t you been listing; Susan’s thief was a master level character and she was reduced to slime! I push with Irea, Sara.
Lorri: Giant slugs are almost immune to attack and are meant to drive characters along. Sara seems to have come up with a twist. Bravo Sara.
Sara: Thank you. However Lasa's spell doesn't work. Astra’s arrow bounces off the slug. The door creaks but does not break and the slug slides forward 1 hex in a wave of slime".
Debbi: Slow. I fire again. Call shot eye?
Lorri: Good try. I cast _Sleep_ on it.
Kattie & Jill: we push!
Sara: Lorri making a rookie mistake? slugs have no brain to sleep.
Lorri: I was hoping you would forget that Sara.
Sara: Right. Asta, your arrow sticks in, just.
Debbi: Suckage
SEVERAL TENSE ROUNDS LATTER
Sara: the slug is in range, it attacks [roll] Astra It hit you, the sluge's stinger peirces your belly and you fall to the floor spasming as its’ poison is pumped into your body. The slugs tentacles sieze your helpless body and pull it too its mouth.
Lorri: Type 8 poison; uncontrolled muscle spasms with load groans for 1d8 rounds. At lest your not dead Debbi.
Debbi: Girls! Help me!
Lorri: Well, heck, I cast body spikes and then go up to hit cast lighting Wand on it.
Sara: The slug swallows Asta and you slide down its cold slimy throat. Lasa, your spell works and the slug shudders, it lashes out and stabs you with its stinger in the bell. Down you go to in a poison spasm.
Lorri (sludges, it had to be sluges) Criky.
Sara: Even more so, Body Spikes are only up when you are conscious or in control. Yes Lorri, I do read the books too. The spell fails. The tentacle wrap around your trembling body and pull it too into its mouth. Asta; you have reached the slug's stomach and plunge in. Stomach acid does 1 damage to you.
Debbi: Darn. That spasm stopped? Good, I try to crawl back up the creatures throat.
Sara: You get a face full of Lasa's slime covered butt Asta as Lasa pushed is into the stomach with you. As you two tumble together the stomach squeeze the two of you together, take another damage. Irea, Tosha, the slug is moving to you.
Debbi: Her butt is in my face?
Lorrie: (sinker) You've waited all night for that.
Karin: Now what? Swords are useless on a giant slug.
Jill: We are doomed.
Jill: I turned to Tosha 'We have had many adventures battle sister, but this is the last. Our doom is inside this creature.'
Kartine 'It is a consolation that I will die with women as brave and lovely as you Irea' I kiss her.
Jill: I lie down and spread my legs and await the slug.
Katrina: Likewise.
Sara: One by one the sludge stings the two of you and you spasm as it swallows you alive. The four of you are crammed into the stomach as the acid works over you. It takes (12 divid by .3) eleven hours of this agony for Lasa to die. Next after 14 hours is Asta, then 22 for Tosha and finally a grueling 31 hours for Irea. Three months latter you waken again in the spawner. Mark off all your equipment.
There is a moment of silence at the table.
Debbi: We died.
Lorrie: All part of the game.
